About the Creator
Hi, I'm Fi! I'm the woman behind the curtain here at Alimum. I'm an all round creative type, balancing my time between being a performer and all things Alimum.
Genetically creative, I never stood a chance to escape it - Dad is a musician, composer and filmmaker. My mum, Alison Lynn, was also a musician, an actor and designer. Alimum was named after her and will continue to dedicate its work to her memory.

I was always artistic - constantly doodling and drawing as a kid, winning the art cup at school and later A* at GCSE (ultimate brag, I know). I then went on to study Graphic Design and Media Studies at A level, securing a place at Portsmouth University to study Television and Film Production. Sadly this came at a turbulent time in life with the passing of my Mum, so I was unable to complete the course - later going back to uni to study Performing Arts (oh yeah. Also a massive Musical Theatre nerd).
Remarkable, how the Covid 19 pandemic changes your path - I had been working at the NHS and quit at the end of 2019 to pursue my creative endeavours instead, only to be absolutely scuppered by Lockdown. But I began working as a social media content creator and manager, and started at children's entertainment company Imaginacts in Summer 2020. I then moved to Ever After Princess Parties in 2023, and remain the resident content creator and media manager. I also manage social media for theatre company and registered charity Southampton Musical Society, and have done other freelance management contracts for photographers and film production companies. I've been lucky enough during this time to establish myself as a freelance graphic designer, branding advisor, photographer and video editor with a growing list of amazing clients.
It's truly a gift to be able to follow these passions - I find that artistic people crumble when they're not able to express that creativity, and having been able to support myself doing this for 5 years now - I feel like I've somehow beaten the system. Nothing tops making art. Whether it's music, performance, fine art, videography - finding a space to create will never not be something I'm incredibly grateful for!
